![]() ![]() However, as I said, it does not seem to work at all in FS19. The man I bought it from at the store told me that with windows 10, all I needed to do was plug it in and away I go. Maybe I just have the settings in the game wrong for an Xbox controller? Should I use a port in the back of my computer? if I have an open one. And one more thing that makes me think it is not connected or set up correctly is the circular Xbox jewel at the top and just underneath the white power light does not light up, as I believe it should if I am connected to the computer.Īnyway, the bottom line is I have Windows 10, my computer is up to date, the drivers for the controller are the latest, and when I plug the controller into the port in the front of my computer, the computer at first did give me a message that I was attaching the controller, so the computer recognized it. Of course I only tried it for a tutorial, that MAY make a difference, I do not know. So it does seem to talk to my computer somewhat, I do have the latest Xbox controller drivers, my computer is up to date on Microsoft updates, but it will not work in the game. So when I plug the controller into the port on the front of my computer and attach the cable to the controller, I do get power, because a white light at the top of the controller goes on, and I am able to do a few things on my computer using the pdp controller hub app, like calibrate the controller, but I cannot get all the buttons to show active which is another test in the hub app. I have windows 10, I have the latest drivers for the controller and I downloaded an app for the PDP controller to help me set it up. I bought a PDP Deluxe wired Xbox one controller and I cannot get it to work. I recently got a new Thrustmaster T-GT wheel which does have two mini-analogue sticks on the wheel so I'm hoping this will solve that problem and maybe I'll be able to play more with a wheel going forward and certainly in FS22 hopefully.I bought FS19 and found it extremely difficult to drive around with my mouse and keyboard, so based on videos I have watched to learn how to play FS19 I discovered it is much easier to play FS19 with the Xbox controller. The only thing that really stopped me playing the game with wheel was a lack control for moving the character on foot or controlling the camera in a vehicle due to lack of analogue sticks or controls on the wheel. ![]() I have dabbled with using my steering wheel as well to control the game, the great thing about Farming Simulator is you don't need to go into any menus or change options when wanting to use a different control device, the game will switch on the fly between whatever you are interacting with be it a controller, keyboard, mouse or a wheel. ![]() For things like GPS (Guidance Steering) and Follow Me I have keybinds set for their main functions on the controller so can definitely interact with those mods without the need for a keyboard. About the only time I use the mouse is if I'm interacting with something like the Courseplay UI. So I've never really needed to use the mouse and keyboard to play. The good thing on PC is you have access to key binding, which means you can pretty much program any functions you need (ones not already mapped) to the controller. I've used a Generic PC Compact Controller (It's actually a Nacon PS4 Controller) to play FS19 and have done pretty much exclusively since it released.
